Doin' What You Love and SUCCEEDING!

In an age where MTV and reality shows dominate the media, finding ways to introduce our children to positive role models has become progressively harder. Brett Outchcunis’ “Doin’ what You Love” motivational program both helps kids realize their unique talents AND provides them with a genuine role model that they can relate to. Measuring in at a whopping 5’6” and 135 lbs, Brett is an extremely un-intimidating figure that can see things on an elementary schooler’s ”level”.

Brett uses the inspirational and comical story of how he became a professional yo-yo entertainer and dancer to inspire his audience to think about what they LOVE TO DO and STICK TO IT. Audience participation is an integral part of the show because it helps to cultivate and nurture confidence and pride in each student.

He discusses the choices made as a kid (such as taking dance classes when it wasn’t “cool” and playing with a yo-yo when it wasn’t “cool”) and the choices made as a young adult (such as staying away from alcohol, drugs and cigarettes as well as striving to become a unique and cool individual in his own right).

Incidentally, at 28 years of age Brett has NEVER had a drink of alcohol, taken drugs or smoked and takes extreme pride in sharing that with his audience!

This program focuses on making sound decisions regarding peer pressure, drugs and alcohol, finding your own individual skill, working through the “tough” times of growing up and looking positively towards the future!

By the end of the program, a connection will have been formed between the students and Brett. The students will walk away feeling good about themselves and being excited about their own UNIQUE interests and talents.

The show lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

This program is reccommended for grades K-6.
