How to Throw Demo/Workshop After Brett gets to know the audience a bit and gives the scouts some cool facts about yo-yos, he gives a yo-yo demonstration, showcasing many tricks from the “classics” (Around the World, Walk the Dog, Rock the Baby) to the most cutting-edge tricks of today including Darth Vader, Gyroscopic Flop, Split the Atom and many more! After the demonstration, Brett uses fun music to teach the audience how to properly throw a yo-yo without the audience ever touching a yo-yo! He then gives the audience some key information on yo-yo maintenance such as proper string placement on the finger, proper string length, winding the string, knowing when to change a yo-yo string, how to remove knots and most important, yo-yo safety! |

Once the yo-yos have been distributed, Brett teaches the group a series of tricks (depending on time restrictions) including – The Gravity Pull/Power Throw, Sleeper, Rock the Baby, Walk the Dog and Forward Pass. (Tricks are subject to change depending on the organizer’s preference. This program focuses on teaching the scouts how to perform yo-yo tricks and properly care for their yo-yos. This program lasts between 45 minutes and 90 minutes.
